FAQs

Who needs a Georgia Lottery retailer licence?

Any business that wants to sell Georgia Lottery products must be an approved retailer under contract with the Georgia Lottery Corporation. A separate application is required for each business location.

How much does it cost to apply?

The application fee is $125 per business location for traditional lottery products, or $25 for a KENO!-only location. All application fees are non-refundable, whether or not the application is approved.

When do I pay the fee?

Nothing is charged while you complete the application. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be asked to pay online, and the payment is confirmed immediately.

Who has to be listed on the application?

Every owner, shareholder, member and officer of the business. Each of them completes their own personal information section and provides a copy of one form of identification. Up to ten owners can be added to one application.

What identification is accepted?

A driver's licence, Georgia identification card, an identification card issued by another state, a U.S. Armed Forces identification card, a U.S. passport, or a U.S. resident alien card.

What numbers do I need from the Department of Revenue?

Your State Taxpayer Identifier and sales tax number, plus your alcohol licence number if your business holds one. Partnerships and corporations must provide a FEIN; sole proprietors list a Social Security number.

Can I save my application and come back to it?

Yes. Everything you enter is saved as you go. Sign in again at any time and continue from where you left off.

How do I check the status of my application?

Sign in and open My Applications. The current stage is shown for each application, and you will be emailed whenever it changes.
